Remove Stock using the Barcode Scanner

This video shows how to remove stock using the barcode scanner on our software. This operation is very easy to do and is frequently used to make adjustments to your inventory when a product has expired or is damaged and is no longer suitable for sale.

Hello. This is Mike, Finale Inventory. Going to give you a short demonstration on how to remove stock using the barcode scanner. This is extremely easy to do. This would be how to get rid of stock outside of a sale.

So what we’re going to do is we’ll go to look at the stock real quick, and you’ll see that we have two of these Western Digital hard drives and it’s located in storage location A08. So let’s remove those two. So what we would do is we would take the barcode scanner here, and we’re going to do a More and then go to Remove stock. And then it’s going to ask us well, where are you going to remove the stock from. We’ll just say we’re going to take them out of this storage bin right here. So what we would do is scan the barcode. And now it says scan the item that you wish to remove.

So I’m going to reach in here, take out a hard drive. Let’s scan this one. Got rid of that one. Let’s take another one out. Remove that one. All right. We’ve successfully removed two of them. So what we’re going to do is go to the menu. Exit to Main menu. So now let’s make this action happen on the actual cloud. So we’re just going to go to Home, Barcode scanning, Connect to docked mobile scanner. Let’s just synchronize it. There’s the two. We’re going to go ahead and synchronize this and click OK. We’re can go right back and check our stock levels. It’s now at 0. That’s as easy as it is to to remove stock using the barcode scanner.
